Booking to stay

You can check availability and make your booking via our website www.klrufc.co.uk.

We offer a variety of offers (explained on our camping pages) which are applied to your booking automatically when you add your dates and search availability.

 

Your booking will be held for 60 minutes from the time you selct to confirm, to enable you time to complete the booking.

 

Advanced purchase – book and pay in full 8 weeks in advance of your stay (subject to availability) and you will receive an additional discount. This tarif is non refundable and can only be transferred if you are not allowed to travel due or we are not able to open on your dates due to COVID.

 

Pay a deposit – You can pay a deposit, if your booking is more than 9 weeks in advance of your stay, with the balance due 8 weeks before your stay.

We will send you a link to make payment by credit or debit card. If you wish to pay by cheque, the funds must be cleared at least 14 days before the start of your stay. The deposit is non refundable if the balance is not paid 8 weeks in advance of your stay.

We cannot accept unbooked campers. All booking must be made and paid for in advance.

 

We let a pitch to you with the expectation that you will follow the usual customs of good camping and caravanning as well as new rules to combat COVID 19.

 

Who can camp at KLRUFC

We are excepting families, small groups who live together to stay on a camping pitch. Groups of more than three couples or four families (staying on 3 or 4 pitches) are by prior arrangement only.

 

We are not able to accept bookings from parties of more than the above or any bookings from unaccompanied persons under the age of 21. If we see a group forming (without prior consent), we will ask you to leave and no refund of monies will be paid. Social distancing rules must be adhered to at all times.

 

Arrivals and Departures

The roads in Kirkby Lonsdale are very narrow. The best Access to KLRUFC is via the A65 and taking the turn to Old Town. This turning can be found just before you reach Kirkby Lonsdale on the left if coming from Jct 36 or by going straight on at the roundabout and after Kirkby Motors on your right if coming from Skipton/Junction 35.

 

Pitches are available from 12pm on the day your visit commences. Please arrive before 6pm. If you are unable to arrive between 12 and 6pm please call 07939 633601 or email camp@klrufc.co.uk to make alternative arrangements.

 

On Arrival please park in the designated area (marked on the map) and wait for a member of our team to come to your vehicle. If a member of our team is not with you in 10 minutes (as they maybe checking someone else in) call 07939 633601. We will then show you to your pitch and point out where our facilities are including your nearest water tap and bins. During these times please use these as we try and ensure social distancing.

 

You must pitch as directed by the ground staff, not encroach upon any other pitches and consider fire risk limitation, safety and access. If you pitch outside the boundaries of your pitch or your unit is judged to pose a risk to the safety and comfort of others you will be asked to move.

 

A gazebo or similar is acceptable as long as within your pitch area. Pitch price includes up to 6 occupants in your accommodation.

 

Pitches offered are for one tent, motor home, caravan or camper van only. Additional units must be booked on prior to your visit. Additional units that aren’t booked will have to leave.

 

You must inform us of any changes and extra requirements prior to your arrival. Once you have made your booking, the price of the holiday will not be subject to change unless your holiday requirements change.

 

Sometimes pitches have to be re-allocated depending on need. We will inform you if we need to make a change. Acceptance of a booking is not conditional on the allocation of a specific pitch. Bookings are not transferable in any circumstances. Alterations by you to a booking after confirmation, will incur an administration charge of £2 per alteration. The person who signs the Booking Form is responsible for the booking and warrants that they are over 18 years of age and that the party will not exceed the numbers stated on the booking form.

 

If, after your arrival we are unable to provide the pitch allocated to you, we will offer a pitch of the same or higher specification. If we cannot offer an alternative pitch we will refund your total holiday cost, but you will have no additional claim against us. If you wish to extend your stay beyond the booked dates, there is no guarantee that the same pitch will be available. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all advertised facilities are available, it may be sometimes necessary to close or limit a facility for safety or improvement reasons.

 

NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN EXCEPT UNDER THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CANCELLATION PLAN. THE PLAN DOES NOT COVER ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

 

Cancellation by you due to inclement weather, non arrival of party members, arrival after the due date or events beyond our control do not result in a refund.

 

You must vacate by 11.30 am on the day of departure and leave the pitch (and toilet if booked) in a clean and tidy state. As well as supporting the club, your stay at KLRUFC also supports the town and its shops/businesses. If, on your day of departure, you wish to spend longer in town please park your vehicle (having vacated your pitch) in our car park which is free of charge.

 

When leaving the ground, turn right at the end of Raygarth and follow the A6254 until you reach Hophouse lane, the second turning on your left. Continue to the end of Hophouse Lane and you arrive at the A65. Turn left for Skipton or right for the M6.

 

Conduct on the campsite and surrounding areas

The speed limit is 5mph. Please drive SLOWLY both on approach along Raygarth and on site. This includes bicycles and any other wheeled conveyances. Drivers must hold a licence and have tax and MOT as appropriate. No recreational vehicles such as motorised scooters or quad bikes are allowed on site or beyond our boundaries.

 

You must ensure children in your party are properly supervised at all times, in all areas of the park and all amenities and when cycling around the park.

 

If you bring a dog, this remains your responsibility at all times, your dog must be on a lead and not left unattended. You must clean up after your dog. Dogs are not allowed on any of our rugby pitches.

 

We operate a ‘quiet policy’, no loud music at anytime and no music should be audible outside your accommodation after 10.00pm. Please also respect those around you by keeping noise down generally after 10.00pm. In a camping environment noise travels a lot further, please be aware!

Once onsite do not use your vehicle to get around site.

Open fires and ground level barbecues are not permitted. The use of generators is not permitted on site.

 

Cutting or damaging trees and other vegetation is strictly prohibited and the natural conditions are not to be disturbed. This includes tying ropes to, or driving nails into trees.

 

If there is a problem or dissatisfaction with any matters under our control, please notify us immediately, so we may have the opportunity to rectify issues. We cannot accept liability in relation to any claim of whatever nature if you fail to notify us within seven days from the end of your stay with us.

 

We reserve the right to ask you to leave at any point of your stay if the behaviour of any member of your party is unacceptable to us and no refund of monies will be paid.

 

Accessing town is easiest for most people on foot down the footpath between the rugby pitches and along Ruskin’s View. If returning to the site after dark, we recommend you take a torch as there are a couple of sections with no or poor lighting. The path is mainly level and hard surface. However, if you have a wheel chair access to the town via Raygarth is best.

 

We are incredibly proud of our town and the surrounding areas. Please respect the area so we can continue to share with campers for many years to come.

 

Changes to our standard terms and conditions in light of COVID 19 directions.

Pitches to be occupied by family groups who occupy the same address only.

 

You must bring your own toilet or book a unit with a toilet provided by the club. You must only use the toilet provided to your pitch, if you use any of the others you will be subject to a fine of £25 and/or could be asked to leave.

 

All camping must be prebooked via the website and paid for ahead of your stay.

 

Changing room/shower/toilet facilities must be booked and paid for before your visit. We have no ‘general  access’ toilets or showers on site.

 

If you have booked a changing room, you can arrive at the facilities (marked on the map) upto 5 minutes before your allotted time and wait in the designated area.

 

You must vacate the changing rooms, leaving them in a reasonable state by the end of the allotted time.

 

This is to enable us to clean the changing rooms ready for the next user. Reasonable means all rubbish in the bin or removed, all personal possessions also removed.

 

Wash basins have been provided (marked on the map) for face washing, teeth brushing. Should you wish to use them, please wait until a ‘bank’ are available, do not use a basin adjacent to someone not in your group.

 

Bins have been provided next to each camping area. Please use your nearest bin. We recommend you wear gloves when using the bins and also wash your hands afterwards. All rubbish is to be securely bagged before putting into the bins. Our waste is sorted/recycled by the refuse company so mixed bags are fine.

 

Fresh water taps are also located across our grounds and marked on the map. Please use your nearest tap ensuring it is properly turned off when you have finished. We recommend you wear gloves when using the tap and wash your hands afterwards.

 

If you have booked a pitch with a toilet, the toilet is for the sole use of your pitch occupants. The toilets are cleaned prior to your arrival and twice a week by the company supplying them. If, during your stay, your toilet needs additional supplies or servicing please call 07939 633601. You are welcome to play ball games and/or sit on our rugby pitches. Please do not leave any litter anywhere on our grounds or in the surrounding areas. We recommend that if you are heading off site you take a bag for your rubbish and bring it back to the club to dispose of in our bins.

 

Social distancing as defined by the government must be adhered to at all times. There is signage around the site as reminders but you are ultimately responsible for adhering to the rules.

 

It is our interpretation of the rules that is final.

 

The contract is with KLRUFC, Underley Park, Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2DS. KLRUFC will   not be liable to any person visiting, for any personal injury, fatal or non fatal unless caused by a negligent act or omission by the company or its employees. KLRUFC will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to any property including, motor vehicles and personal effects, howsoever caused or sustained.
